Fitsum Areguy is a writer, researcher, and cultural worker based in Kitchener, ON. Voted multiple times by The Community Edition as Waterloo Region’s “Best Writer,” his work has been published in Briarpatch Magazine, ByBlacks, Canadian Dimension, New Sociology, Red Noise Collective, and Korea Exposé, among others. Fitsum volunteers at The Multicultural Theatre Space (MT Space) and ACCKWA (The AIDS Committee Of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Area), and enjoys playing pick-up ball and listening to dance music.
