Shama Saleh is a spoken word poet, traveller, and lifelong learner. As a Black Muslim womyn, she finds importance in always writing from a place of transparency, combining advocacy and creativity for those who choose to listen. She graduated with a major in Health Studies and a minor in political science. Currently, she is working on an initiative called Project UP (Unleashing Potential) that focuses on empowering Black Muslim girls in the KW region through leadership, arts, and athletics.
